Talking about Memes, Cultural Capital, and the processes by which we consume them.
This podcast is the first of a potential series of conversations I will have with some close friends. This episode featuring my friend and sister; Minke Hijmans (or Zoe, as some call her). She comes from a background of Linguistics and cultural Anthropology, and thus provides new and interesting insights based on her own research and theoretical framework.
We had fun making this podcast; we considered the origin of memes and its effects, wondering whether it functions as cultural capital, and trying to define these terms. So take a listen! We hope you enjoy it.
