Awesome to see content presented this way, and really lovely drawings.
It’s a very recognisable issue, I hope you can find some solution that works for you.
The awesome drawings made it very fun to read 😀
I totally get what you mean! Deleting apps can be healthy but it also means sacrificing contact/enjoyment and feeds into fear of missing out, so it’s definitely difficult
I really enjoyed this cartoon. The art is really cool and it helped me related even more to narrative that I certainly struggle with myself. The question of what to do with your time after you delete the apps is definitely the hardest part to answer. I hope that you have been able to find some ways around the doomscrolls and found some peace of mind.
I love your drawings! How about using Z flip? By the way, I also wanted to delete instagram, but failed. The reason why I thought like was by scrolling instagram, I kept comparing myself with others and felt depressed. To avoid this feeling, I tried to have a distance with instagram but failed same as you. I didn’t know what to do in my time, and also felt insecure. Currently, I use instagram, but not that much. Instead of instagram, I write a diary on my personal blog or make a v-log. Spending time just for me is really helpful for thinking about myself and also for entertainment. But I’m still curious that what is the proper distance between me and apps.
Super relatable, very very cute drawings btw!
I definitely know what you mean, I think about the fact that I look at screens most of my time awake and it is definitely annoying for multiple reasons.
What helps me to overcome too much engagement with social media, I fill my day with work and friends so I barely have time to look at it. When I do take the time to go on social media, my eye is always on the clock and I’ll set strict rules until when I use it (not always super succesful, especially with tiktok hahah)
I think it’s so interesting how we use our phones for everything now while at the same time we are strongly, often negatively, affected by them.
Such a creative and personal way to make content! As a Gen Z, it is impossible for me to imagine what people did before the invention of smartphones, during the small windows of free time during the day, like waiting for the train or when you are alone and waiting for something (like the class to start or your order at a restaurant to arrive).
I also tried deleting some social media apps, however (apart from the obvious cons of social media) I am actually really interested in some of the content that is being put on the platforms. So it is really difficult to cope with the situation!
Nice drawings and illustrations of a daily habit, which most of us relate to. Creative approach!
