I’m personally a museumgoer, so I can totally feel the transformation nowadays. Before I felt visiting museums wasn’t fun as the artifacts and paintings to some degree “died”. When technology can adopt and assist with the museum experience, it’s definitely a plus. The Pergamon museum in Berlin also closed for renovation recently, I’m really curious how they are going to bring us a whole new experience in the future.
WOW, I find this fact very interesting. I have to say first of all that I appreciate that you made a video, it’s a fun way to learn new things. The most interesting fact of your video was the Mona Lisa meeting. I remember going to The Louvre and seeing the painting from far away because of all of the tourists so I believe this is a great way for art lovers to spend their time in a more immersive way than watching something they love from far.
As a history student I have a great interest in museums using VR. Museums often struggle with portraying history correctly, with all its boring nuances. That is partially due to a lack of immersion. VR could hopefully help address that issue, though so far the actual executions I have personally seen were a little meh. Your examples look a lot better though, so we’ll see!
