The scheming EU Commission bureaucrats in Brussels have come up with a new disgusting scheme to mass surveil us. They want to introduce something called “Chat Control,” which basically lets an AI system scan all your messages before they are encrypted for illicit content. That’s not all; they are using the veil of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) as an excuse to go through with it. I find that especially schemerish, as they use a very sensitive topic to reduce criticism; who isn’t against child abusers? Well, I’m against child abusers and this EU Commission proposal.
Neo Medieval Turn in Governance
Before the Enlightenment, there was something called general warrants. This would allow royal agents to search you lawfully without any probable cause, basically they could just search you whenever, wherever, and there was nothing you could do about it. Citizens in these types of authoritarian systems were automatically perceived as suspicious. Sounds a bit similar to what Chat Control is; you are a pedofile or child abuser up until you are proven innocent. Privacy wasn’t something codified back then. Today, however, if law enforcement wants to search you, they need to have a warrant from a judge. The problem is platform capitalism has made the environment such that users need to be on a platform like WhatsApp, Snapchat, or Telegram to communicate. Users aren’t in their own private property; instead, they operate under the private property of one of these evil companies.
Encryption and Experts
Encryption works by scrambling text in a certain way which can only be deciphered with a private encryption key which only one party has access to. Even encrypted messaging apps like WhatsApp don’t have access to your private key, which means providers can’t decrypt messages even if governments ask.
In September 2025, an open letter was sent to the Commission signed by 670 scientists from 36 countries, showcasing how absurd this new proposal is.
Here are their points:
- Technically infeasible: One can’t reliably scan billions of messages for CSAM without bad accuracy; this will cause many false positives and false flags.
- Breaks encryption: On-device scanning means that the core guarantee of encryption is undermined with a new backdoor.
- Weakens security: By having a backdoor, hackers can theoretically overtake this backdoor and have access to billions of messages, including those from critical users like politicians, activists, and even EU officials.
- Ignores open dialogue: Policymakers have shut out experts, pushing tech that has no scientific backing.
- Better alternatives exist: Investing in education, hotlines, and trauma support are proven ways to reduce abuse without destroying privacy.
Creates surveillance tools: This system would allow censorship and control, with high risk of “function creep” (expanding beyond child protection, like hate speech).

Conclusion and Current Standing
Look, there is nothing to be optimistic about; the future is bleak and wretched. Capitalism is mutating into something that resembles a feudal system (technofeudalism). AI companies like Palantir want to overthrow democracy with technology and are creating operating systems that undermine human rights. Wealth inequality is rising massively. The president of the U.S. was heavily involved with a billionaire pedophile who apparently “killed himself.” Ageing Western populations will start to heavily strain the financial systems in the next two decades because of their pensions. Young talent is going into finance or unethical consulting that ruins the planet. People aren’t reproducing. Costs of living are rising. Migrants are being exploited with really cheap pay, even though a majority of them are over-qualified for their jobs. There is a departure from post-WW2 institutions, with the ICJ and ICC being ignored, paired with a growing climate crisis and supply chain vulnerability. Add to all of this that the people at the top of the EU want to spy on you in the future. GREAT.
This will happen; it’s only a matter of time until this technology allows for it. Countries like the UK and Australia have already passed such policies. The hilarious part is that the UK admitted that this law is not feasible, and now the EU wants to do it. WTF. I really don’t know who they think they are fooling, but it’s definitely not going to be me.

Important things to know:
The final EU Council vote will take place on the 14 of October 2025, following Council working groups that met on the 12 of September. They will use Qualified Majority Voting, meaning they need 55% of member states and 65% of the population. Big countries like France and Italy are for this disgusting law, and ought to be ashamed of themselves; thankfully, Germany is against this horrid policy. It might not pass this time, but given enough time, humans and their scheming nature will ruin everything. We live in a declining civilization, and policies such as these just prove it time and time again.
Woaw what a title, that definitely made me click. It’s frightening how much privacy is down prioritized. But when I talk with people around me I often am met with the question: Why be afraid if you have nothing to hide. It made me think of a talk I listened to back in school many years ago, I unfortunately do not remember the name of the speaker. But what he said was along the lines of: I might not have something to hide when I use the bathroom but still choose to keep the door closed to keep my privacy.
Thank you for bringing my attention to this!
Thanks for the comment! One more thing to add maybe was that… maybe your aren’t breaking the rules now…but maybe in the future you will be… you aren’t the one who is gonna be deciding the rules… they will…”pedophilia”…”anti-terrorist”… they just need to go gain access now 💀
