I remember watching a John Oliver show segment about a similar topic. And although it’s a sneaky way of advertisement I kinda don’t mind it! I think if done well might be really funny. But then you just simply have to remember that its a big corpo and not a human being behind, so take it with a grain of salt.
Though this automated voice is prevalent in announcements and such I have to say I found it quite eerie to listen to it to explain a phenomenon. For me it somewhat drew attention away from what you tried to convey.
