A Video About Running (And Online Running Communities)

I’ve been quiet on here for the past couple of weeks because I’ve been working on making a video, and it’s here! It’s about running, and you can find it embedded above; this post is also an addendum to go along with it.

Some aspects of the video are dramatised, but the emotions and thoughts put forth are very much real (and my own). I hope that the video’s been able to convey what I see as the dualistic nature of running. Running’s both an individual activity, which can, on occasion, require personal sacrifice, but technology has (more than ever before) expanded upon its potential as a social sport. Applications – running apps, but social media especially – have become platforms where you can find and build communities of like-minded people who uniquely understand the highs and lows you experience, because you’re all runners.

(It’s also a tribute to running and all the runners I’ve met along the way.)

If you decide to give it a watch – cheers!
